Yorkshire based building company, Jack Lunn Construction, has completed work on a £2.1 million design and build residential project in Bradford for local housing group, Incommunities, a member of the development partnership, Firebird JVC.
Situated on Otley Road, close to the City Centre, the development provides much needed affordable housing accommodation for local people. The 19 new dwellings comprise 18 houses and one apartment plus a commercial unit and the homes are available for rent. The attractive development also incorporates parking and landscaping areas.
The development has been supported by a £1.2 million grant from the national housing and regeneration body, the Homes and Communities Agency.
The new homes for Incommunities are adjacent to the new Octavia Court supported housing development also built by Jack Lunn Construction.
Commenting on this latest successful completion, Jack Lunn Construction’s Managing Director, Stephen Bradbury said: “By working with Incommunities through Firebird JVC we have delivered high-quality new affordable homes and community facilities which meet growing local needs”.
Jez Lester, Incommunities’ Assistant Chief Executive, Asset Management, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Jack Lunn Construction and the Homes and Communities Agency to deliver this new development of homes for rent.
“As the district’s biggest social landlord we are committed to provide much needed high quality affordable homes for local people. We have so far invested over £35 million to provide new homes and to date built 297 homes for rent and for sale through shared ownership. Nearly one hundred more homes are being built across the district.”
